Bhutan plays draw with Pakistan at SAFF U-16

Bhutan who suffered embarrassing loss to Nepal has now regained hope after stopping other strong team from Pakistan in a draw match SAFF U-16 Championships in Kathmandu.

This is indeed a great success for the Bhutanese team to stop the defending champion in a draw keeping the hopes alive for a seat in semi final.

Pakistan played draw (0-0) with Afghanistan as well and Nepal played draw (1-1) with Afghanistan.

Nepal, who played out a 1-1 draw with Afghanistan in the other group ‘A’ match on Monday, lead the group with four points, two ahead of both Pakistan and Afghanistan with Bhutan rock-bottom with a solitary point.

Pakistan enjoyed a handful of chances in the second-half when they put Bhutan pressure.

But Bhutan showed more resilience at the Army Stadium than in their previous match as they held out for a draw, having had some decent chances in the first-half.
