PM meets WHO representative, Indian officails

Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on his third day in office met with the World Health Organisation (WHO) representatives in Bhutan.

According to news from the prime minister’s office, Tobgay met with Dr. Nani Nair at his office.

The duo discussed about pertinent health issues regarding targeted intervention on women and children, women care programmes, lifestyle related clinics, food security, proper nutrition through fortified food products and on promoting social awareness on nutritional health.

Earlier in the morning, he met with DANTAK chief engineer Radhakrishan.

In his first day in office, PM Tobgay had met with Indian ambassador to Bhutan Haran after which Indian government formally announced to restore the subsidy given to Bhutan on kerosene and LPG.

On second day, he met with seven Indian businessmen from Phuentsholing in the morning and in afternoon he welcomed IMTART commandment Maj Gen AK Bardalai.
