Connecticut symposium honours three

The first Nepali-literary symposium organised jointly by Organization of Bhutanese Communities in America (OBCA), Bhutanese Community of Connecticut, and Bhutanese Creative Group of Springfield Massachusetts saw an array of literary figures and lovers of Bhutanese Diaspora coming together for the promotion and protection of Nepali language and literature.

Global Bhutanese Literary Organization (GBLO), Bhutanese Creative Connecticut, USA, White Himal Television, Bhutan Lekhak Munch, Gajal Munch Bhutan, International Nepali Literary Society-New York Chapter, BhutaneseLiterature.com, Rubai Munch Bhutan and BhutaneseArtist.com supported the symposium.

The symposium honoured Gazal writer Seru Rai ‘Udash’ of Georgia, Bhutan News Service Editor and Bhutaneseliterature.com founder Ramesh Gautam of Norway, and Ruhai writer Ashok Rai of Texas for their contribution towards Nepali literature.

The programme also featured cultural dances, presentations and discourses on Nepali literature and release of book titled ‘Trikon’ – a collection of Nepali Ruhai by Dharmendra Timsina, J. N. Dahal and D. P. Dulal.
