He further said, “Given over majority of Bhutanese youth come together, we have decided to broaden the scope and hold a youth festival involving other youth from different communities in Sydney.”

Keeping with the original theme, it will be a 4-day Bhutanese youth gathering from across Australia focused on soccer. To add flavour to the event, the organisers have planned to invite youths from other communities to take part in several other activities such as multicultural shows, athletics, table tennis, volleyball during the soccer event.

The event is aimed at promoting a sense of camaraderie amongst Australian Bhutanese youths and with the youth from wider Australian community, promoting inter-cultural exchange and learning, fostering and promoting the Multicultural Australia which recognises and values diverse cultures and religions, instil a sense of healthy competition amongst our youth so that they are encouraged in future to take part in games/sports at more competitive levels and engaging youths in productive activities.
