BES to host research symposium next month

The Bhutan Ecological Society (BES) is set to host the second Annual Research Symposium & Environmental Fair on 22–23 August 2014 at Clock Tower Square in Thimphu.
The society has asked the public to share their conservation knowledge and experiences with each other through posters, research presentations and exhibition booths.
The exhibition will display the information or displays on work or programs related to conservation of Bhutan’s natural heritage and environment.
The symposium will focus on sustainable livelihoods, waste management, energy resources, biodiversity conservation, water resources, climate change and agriculture science.
BES said, policy-makers, practitioners, researchers, educators and students will share their conservation knowledge and experiences through poster and research presentations, and structured discussion sessions.
