Employment agents suspended
The foreign workers employment prospects in Bhutan is getting bleaker with government tightening its grip on procedures of employment.
Ministry of Labour and Human Services in its notice on Monday said it has suspended 21 Foreign Workers Services Agents due to non compliance to the provisions of the Foreign Workers Recruitment Agents Rules and Regulations and Labour and Employment Act, 2007.
The ministry has not clarified in detail what were the non compliance act of the agents.
In another notices, the ministry last week had suspended an overseas employment agent (Lama Youth Employment) for the period of six months.
