Bhutan to face Nepal in SAFF

Bhutanese women´s team will meet Bhutan in the opener of the Third SAFF Women´s Championship on Wednesday. The Championship is scheduled to take place from Tuesday at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, Pakistan.

As per the draw held on Monday, Bhutan has been drawn with host Pakistan, Sri Lanka and runner-up of the last edition Nepal in the Group B.

The draw was done at the managers´ meeting a day prior to the championship on Monday.

The Group A consists of champion of the previous two editions India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and the Maldives.

The two sides faced each other in the SAFF U-14 Championship and Nepal had defeated Bhutan by 9-0.
