Tobgay’s flight cancelled due to weather

Poor visibility caused by dense fog at the Bagdogra airport on Saturday forced Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay to cancel his journey back to his country.

Scheduled to catch a Druk Air flight from Bagdogra airport back to his country, Tobgay who was on four day visit to attend the Bengal Global Business Summit in Kolkata, had to return to the state capital after his flight from Kolkata failed to land in Siliguri due to poor visibility.

According to airport authorities 11 of the 12 scheduled flights had to be cancelled due to poor visibility. The only flight to take off was a Druk Air flight to Bangkok via Paro.

Tobgay was scheduled to return home after attending Bengal Global Business Summit 2016 in Kolkata.
