Bhutanese student dies in India

A Bhutanese student has reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room on Wednesday night at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kurukshetra (Haryana).

The deseased who was the student of mechanical engineering has been identified as ‘Namne’. A suicide note recovered from the body suggested that he did not hold anyone responsible for his move.

Kurukshetra Superintendent of police (SP) Abhishek Garg said investigation reveals that Namne was upset as his parents were living separately. “It could be the only reason,” he said. Ruling out the possibility of any foul play, the SP said investigation is in progress and the investigating officer (IO) is waiting for the victim’s parents to arrive.
