Former CDO wins Thimphu NC race

Tshewang Rinzin, 54, former chief district officer has won the National Council election from Thimphu beating his four rivals.

Tshewang Rinzin received 2,117 votes including 444 postal votes while his nearest rival Tshokey Dorji received 1,936 votes including 227 postal.

Rinzin is nominted from Dazhi village in Kawang block. He holds Masters degree in educational administration. He had worked as teacher, principal, district education officer, chief divisional officer and chief district officer. He worked as government employees over 15 years.
