BCN hosts annual function
Bhutanese Community in The Netherlands (BCN) held its Annual Get Together and Cultural Program on 21 October in Zaandam where over 100 Bhutanese-Dutch from across the country and the representatives of different Nepali organisations attended.
The program began with formal announcement, introduction and felicitation of the new executive members of the BCN. New executive committee of BCN include Ram Karki (President) Amber Singh Subba (General Secretary), Aiman Samal ( Co-Founder of BCN as member) Jigme Gurung (member) Bhakta Khadka (member), Binita Gurung (member), Raju Chhetri (member), Tufan Ghalley (member), Birkha Majhi and Chandra Thapa (member).
Samal highlighted briefly history, significance and success of the BCN established on 19 September 2009. Outgoing President DP Mainali extended wishes for successful tenure of the new committee.
President Karki stressed on the need of unity among the Bhutanese Community members living in various parts of The Netherlands and expressed hope to achieve this during this tenure.
Chief Guest of the function and NRNA Netherlands president Manohari Sharma stressed the importance of organising such programs for strengthening and Preserving Nepali culture and traditions.
