One die of fire blaze in Beldangi
At least an exiled Bhutanese have died in an arson on Monday in Beldangi Bhutanese refugee camps when fire broke out.
Desh Man Rai, 60, of Beldangi D4-325 died of fire burns. Rai, a patient of paralysis, was resting at his residence when fire broke out on Monday evening and engulfed his residence.
According to local police, the fire also damaged properties worth Rs 800,000 including 1 tola gold, 10 tola silver, Rs 300,000 cash, food and other household contents.
The fire was contained in about two hours with the help of fire engine from Damak.
The dead body has been taken to Damak for postmortem.
