One arrested on alleged murders
Police in Nepal have arrested at a person alleged to have linked to murder of refugee leaders Shantiram Nepal and Ramesh Subba. The murderers have long absconded.
Police said they arrested Tul Bahadur Rai, 44, popularly known as Bijaya by Kathmandu metropolitan police from Thankot – the outskirts city and the gateway to Kathmandu.
Dhakal was killed in Beldangi five years ago while Subba was killed in Mechi Nagar, eastern Nepal four years ago.
Rai has been sent to Kakarvitta for further investigation and to begin legal procedures.
