Tobgay arrives Dhaka for 3-day visit

In a special Druk Air flight, Bhutanese Prime Minister Ushering Tobgay has landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9 am Saturday for his three-day Bangladesh tour.
He was welcomed at the airport by Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Tobgay was given a guard of honour by the Bangladesh armed forces on his arrival. At the airport Tshering introduced his entourage to Sheikh Hasina.
Bangladeshi Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, the country’s Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed, chiefs of the three services of the armed forces, cabinet secretary and other senior officials were present to receive the visiting prime minister.
This is Tobgay’s first visit to Bangladesh after he took the office of the prime minister in July last year.
Foreign Minister Rinzin Dorji, Economic Affairs Minister Norbu Wangchuk and 10-member business delegation is included in his troupe.
The two countries will hold bilateral talks on electricity, water resources management, agriculture, trade and business, connectivity, heath, education, and culture at different level.
The bilateral trade agreement between the countries would be renewed during his visit.
