JAB announces journalism award

Journalist Association of Bhutan (JAB), the only trade union of the media professionals in Bhutan, has announced journalism awards for the Bhutanese journalists.
In its announcement, the JAB has asked the journalists to submit entries for the award by 25 January. The awards are to be given away on 21 February coinciding with the birth anniversary of the King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk.
JAB said the entries must be submitted in hard copies, leaving rooms for speculations whether the awards are only for print journalism because its technically impractical to submit radio and TV entries in hard copies.
JAB has not mentioned anything about judging criteria, categories in which awards will be given or the number of awards to be given.
