No impact of earthquake in Bhutan: PM

Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay said in his twitter, the tremors of destructive earthquake from Nepal has not cause any destruction in Bhutan.

Similarly, Minister for Economic Affairs Norbu Wangchuk twitted everything was fine in country and expressed solidarity with Nepal which suffered massive losses of life and property as a result of the earthquake. He said in a tweet that the celebration of World Intellectual Property day scheduled for tomorrow, April 26, has been cancelled. Wangchuk also thanked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending a helping hand to Bhutan in the moment of the crisis.

The minister said the Tala and Chukha hydro-facilities were safe.

Nepal today experienced 7.9 Richter scale earthquake and reported massive loss of life and property. Tremors in Bhutan were estimated to measure around 4 Richter scale, enough to shake old buildings.
