Abilene Bhutanese elect new leaders

The Bhutanese Community of Abilene (BCA), in Texas, elected Naren Champing Rai as the new president of the community organisation.

The election held on May 30 also elected new members to the Executive Committee. Yam Rai is the new vice president, Krishna Bastola is Secretary, Ran Pulami Magar is vice secretary, Mon Gurung is treasurer and Deepak Mizar is new vice-treasurer.

The gathering also named Bhanu Ghalley as the Chief Advisor of the community organisation.

Founding member of BCA, newly elected president Rai had earlier serviced in BCA as executive director.
