Two Bhutanese killed in Punjab, India
Two Bhutanese nationals died here when their bike rammed into a pole at Palahi village crossing on Phagwara-Banga bypass in Punjab India on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Tashidin Norbu (20) and Tashi Tobgay (18).
Norbu, Tobgay and Indian national Shivam were going on a motorcycle on Saturday night and hit into a roadside pole.
While Norbu and Tobgay succumbed to their injuries, Shivam survived and has been hospitalised.
The deceased were students of a private university in the state.
Punjab Police said the Bhutan Embassy in New Delhi as well as the parents of the deceased have been informed about the incident.
Post-mortem of the bodies are scheduled to be conducted only after the parents of the deceased reach.
