Dr Rai discharged, in stable condition

Dr Bhampa Rai has now been finally discharged from hospital after the successful surgery, family sources told Bhutan News Network.

Kishor Rai, who is also taking care of Dr Rai and her wife, said, Dr Rai is now in stable condition. He has been prescribed medication and is advised to attend regular medical check up every second week to make sure his health returns to normalcy.

Dr Rai was admitted to Ananda Lok Hospital in Siliguri for emergency treatment in critical condition following internal bleeding in his intestines. He had to undergo two surgeries.

Dr Rai has thanked all donors who have contributed towards his health treatment, through the fundraising campaign by Bhutan News Network.
