Oxygen supply affected in south-eastern districts

Oxygen supply is badly affected in Bhutan as anti-government protests in north-east India continues to grow, after the BJP led government in Delhi passed its Citizenship Amendment Bill through parliament. The curfew imposed by local authority further aggravated the situation.

The protests have stalled the life in Indian states of Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

Vehicles supplying oxygen in these states and bordering Bhutan have been torched by the protestors.

Bhutan government has not announced any relief measures for supply of oxygen to hospitals in south-eastern districts who rely on oxygen supply from India.
