Danish envoy calls on Speaker

The Ambassador of Denmark to Bhutan Freddy Svane called on the Speaker Jigme Zangpo on 12 September, Thursday. Svane said that though Bhutan’s democracy is very young, it is deeply rooted and is a role model for other countries.

The two leaders discussed the issues concerning mutual interest of the two nations and evolution of democratic system in Bhutan. Speaker Zangpo on the occasion, expressed gratitude to Denmark government for continued support it has been providing to Bhutan.

The Ambassador of Denmark assured to provide full support to the National Assembly.
