Singapore minister visiting Bhutan

Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore Mr Lawrence Wong is scheduled to arrive Thimphu today (December 2) for a three-day official visit to Bhutan.
Bhutan and Singapore have good relations and he expects the visit will help strengthen this bilateral cooperation further, he wrote in his Facebook before leaving for Bhutan.
Mr Wong is visiting Bhutan at the invitation of Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
At the government level, Singapore has several cooperation and technical assistance programmes with Bhutan.
There are also good people-to-people links – with groups like the Singapore International Foundation and the Singapore Bhutan Foundation as well as several non-profit organisations undertaking regular projects in the country.
Mr Wong and Mr Tobgay friends at the Harvard Kennedy School during their university days.
