Dr Rai admitted to hospital in critical condition
One of the leading Bhutanese political activists in exile Dr Bhampa Rai has been admitted to hospital for emergency treatment in critical condition, Bhutan News Network has known.
According to the information received, chairperson of the Bhutanese Refugee Repatriation Coordination Council (BRRRC) Dr Rai has been admitted to Ananda Lok Hospital in Siliguri, West Bengal on Monday.
According to preliminary investigation, Dr Rai is suffering from internal bleeding in his intestines. Report on further investigation is awaited.
Dr Rai is already facing financial challenges due to regular dialysis to be done for his wife.
The family has said, any kind of support towards Dr Rai’s treatment would be welcomed.
