After a long dry, its downpour
After a long dry summer, southern, eastern and central districts in Bhutan are receiving downpour currently.
The Hydro-Met Services under Ministry of Economic Affairs projects the downpour would continue for next 48 hours.
Though the southern, eastern and isolated central regions are experiencing heavy rain, other parts of Bhutan is having only moderate rainfall.
There is a low pressure running across Bhutan extending till West Pacific Ocean, which could bring rainfall associated with thunderstorms in isolated places.
Most southern and central Bhutan remains dry and farmers were unable to irrigate their land for farming.
