Indian insurgents demands whereabouts of its leaders

The National Democratic Front of Boroland (Songbijit) on Tuesday has demanded that the Bhutan government to disclose the whereabouts of the leaders of the outlawed armed group who went missing after “Operation All Clear” in 2003.

BR Ferengga, NDFB (S) spokesman, asked the Bhutanese government to reveal names of the missing leaders during the operations, which was launched by the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA) to flush out Indian insurgent groups from their territory in 2003.

It is believed that many insurgent leaders were killed in the operation.

“We appealed to the Bhutanese authorities to tell us the truth about the missing NDFB leaders during the operation on December 15, 2003,” Ferengga said in a press statement.

The statement coincides with the armed attack by miscreants on Royal Bhutan Army personnel in Danabari (Chuzagang) and Katusey (Umling) blocks on Tuesday morning.
